Here is an artist talk with  JB Ghuman Jr., followed by a panel discussion with Alex Lee and Frédérick Maheux, where he shares his insights on the metaverse and his perspectives on virtual worlds.

"I would definitely consider myself a bit of a newbie with VR; more conventional film is kind of where I've come up the ranks. (...) And it was always sort of pivoted on the expansion of consciousness, including my own—not to project myself as someone who has already achieved that, but just as someone on a journey. (…) Consciousness would be someone's personal perspective of reality. It would be the perception of reality, limited to the scope that each of us has."

"When I think of the Metaverse, my first thought is—I don’t know—Facebook? (...) I would say it's a digital landscape where each of us has the potential to explore a version of ourselves, whether that be digitally, sonically, creatively, sexually, spiritually, or even just as an observer, or none of the above."

"From my perspective, I immediately saw the Metaverse as something shaped by perception—mine, yours, anyone's. Your perception of the Metaverse is, honestly, what it is. Without that injection of perception, it wouldn't really exist."
